Mixed car parks and rotary car parks
There are two parking schemes in Paris:
- Mixed car parks ( voies mixtes ):
In the streets where the so-called "mixed" parking lots are located, parking is paid from 9:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Saturday, free of charge on Sundays and public holidays. Visitor parking is limited to two consecutive hours, at the corresponding rate.
For these parking lots, residents can apply for a residential parking card, this option is only valid in areas close to their home.
The parking meters located on these streets have a yellow dot and the number of the residential zone. They indicate that residential parking is permitted in that area.
- Streets with rotating parking lots ( voies rotatives ):
This is the case of very tourist and commercial roads, for these parking is always paid parking from 9:00 to 20:00 from Monday to Saturday, free on Sundays and holidays However , parking It is authorized only for visitors , limited to two consecutive hours, at the corresponding rate, it is not possible to request parking for residents.
